Psychologist
At Bankstown Women’s Health Centre, we provide professional, compassionate psychological support to women who are navigating emotional, mental health and life challenges. Our psychology service works alongside our counselling and broader wellbeing programs to help you build strength, insight and resilience in a safe, supportive environment.
What Is Psychological Support?
Our psychologists are highly trained clinicians who offer evidence-based therapy and strategies to support women with emotional and mental health concerns, including (but not limited to):
- Anxiety and stress
- Mood concerns
- Trauma and its after-effects
- Life transitions and relationship issues
- Coping skills and emotional regulation
Psychological support is individualised to your needs — your psychologist listens deeply, works with you to understand what matters most, and assists you to develop strategies that support ongoing wellbeing.
Our Team
We are proud to offer psychology support from two skilled psychologists:
Senior Psychologist – Provides advanced clinical expertise and support, particularly for complex or ongoing concerns requiring deeper therapeutic work and specialised intervention.
General Psychologist – Offers psychological therapy that helps you build coping strategies, understand patterns, and manage difficulties in day-to-day life.
Together, their combined experience ensures that you have access to warm, culturally sensitive, trauma-aware psychological care tailored to you.
What to Expect in a Psychology Appointment
Assessment & listening: We take time to understand your experiences and strengths.
Collaborative goal setting: Your goals guide the focus of therapy.
Evidence-based therapy: Approaches are grounded in research and best practice.
Confidentiality & respect: Your information is treated with the highest level of privacy and dignity.
Psychology is not about being “fixed” — it’s about building insight, understanding patterns, and developing sustainable wellbeing tools for life.
