Our Information & Referral service helps women access the right supports, services and information when they need it most.
Whether you’re unsure where to start, need help understanding your options, or want to connect with the right service for your situation, our team is here to guide you with respect, care and clarity.
What We Do
- Understand your options — so you know what supports are available
- Connect with the right services — both within our Centre and in the wider community
- Book appointments on your behalf when needed
- Provide appropriate referrals to specialist services (legal, health, housing, financial, community support and more)
- Our team works collaboratively with you to ensure you’re connected to the support that best meets your needs.
How It Works
When you contact us for Information & Referral:
We will listen to your needs
We will direct you to the most appropriate services or supports
We will book appointments on your behalf where required
We will follow up to make sure connections have been made successfully
This can include referrals to:
Counselling and psychological services
Legal Aid or specialist legal services
Housing and accommodation support
Financial and emergency relief services
Health providers and community supports
We aim to make the process simple, supportive and empowering.
Who Can Access This Service
Our Information & Referral support is available to women of all backgrounds who live or work in the Bankstown Canterbury Local Government Area.

Everything you share is treated with confidentiality and respect. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space where your questions and concerns are heard.
