Psychologists are trained in the use of a wide range of methods and techniques with demonstrated effectiveness in treating mental health difficulties. Psychologists do not prescribe medication. They use psychological education, cognitive behavioural therapies, narrative therapy and solution focused therapy to assist clients to make positive changes in their lives. During your appointment, the psychologist will explain and discuss treatment options and together you will work out a treatment plan.
