Referral and information
A referral & information officer provides details about community services in Bankstown and wider Sydney. Brochures on a variety of services are also available. Please call us on 9790 1378 to speak with the Referral and Information officer.
If you need practical assistance, we can offer a safe and trustworthy relationship with a professional case manager. A case worker can support practical needs, such as : Advocacy, parenting programs and parenting support, domestic and family violence support, support with AVO’s, health information, information and referral, resources, links and coordination of services.
Groups. workshops and activities
Groups & workshops are run within school terms. Regular groups include Yoga and Pilates. Some parenting workshops and self-care classes.
Counselling is offered on a brief intervention, supportive basis (up to 3 months) It is free of charge and confidential for women over 18 years, of any cultural and religious background and sexual orientation.
Child sexual assault counselling
This service is available to boys and girls under 18 who live in the Bankstown area, as well as their non-offending family members. Services include counselling, school outreach, court support and advocacy. Our CSA service also delivers accredited parenting programs in the community.
A Health Promotions Officer is available for health talks and health and wellbeing programs both at the centre and in community groups and schools. Call the centre if you would like a women’s or girls health talk delivered to your group.
Available free of charge to help you with a range of diet and nutrition issues including paediatric nutrition, high blood pressure, diabetes, vegetarian diets, weight loss, improving your diet and nutrition and also links to social and recreational activities and groups. Our dietician also delivers outreach to groups in the community.
Clinical Nurse Consultant
Free and confidential clinic by an experienced clinical nurse consultant for pap smears, breast checks, blood pressure and other women’s health issues. No Medicare card required
